The 31st AFS Youth Assembly invites passionate young leaders to join a global community of changemakers. This event goes beyond dialogue—it’s about action. Through engaging sessions, networking with peers from around the world, and ideation challenges, you’ll gain the skills and connections to create lasting impact, guided by experts and practitioners.

Under the event theme, we will explore four key tracks:

Geneva International Affairs Academy

The Geneva International Affairs Academy is an intensive capacity-building program in international affairs, diplomacy, and global governance designed for youth and emerging leaders aged 18–35. The program is held in Geneva, Switzerland.

A key highlight of this program is its hands-on learning approach, allowing participants to gain direct experience in one of the world’s leading diplomatic hubs. Through this experience, participants will:

  • Gain insight into the working systems of the United Nations
  • Learn about global policy-making processes
  • Develop diplomatic skills and the ability to work in multicultural environments

Intercultural Leadership Academy

The Intercultural Leadership Academy is an intensive learning program focusing on Intercultural Leadership for youth and emerging leaders aged 18–35 who are interested in developing leadership skills in a global context. The program will take place from 9–15 August 2026 in Champéry and Geneva, Switzerland.

The program highlights hands-on learning in real-life environments, allowing participants to:

  • Develop self-awareness and deepen understanding of their own culture and others
  • Practice communication and collaboration with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Understand how cultural differences influence leadership and problem-solving
  • Experience the rich culture and breathtaking natural landscapes of Switzerland

Eligibility Requirements

  • Delegates must be 18-35 years old
  • Proven track record of leadership experience, school, or community involvement
  • Interest in global affairs, sustainable development, and youth issues
  • Proficient in English (Intermediate Level)

Application Process

  • Step 1: Fill out the Youth Assembly Inquiry Form
  • Step 2: Once you have reviewed the different programs and feel ready to embark on this experience, simply send an email to [email protected] expressing your intent to move forward with your program of choice (Conference-Only, Geneva International Affairs Academy, or Intercultural Leadership Academy)
  • Step 3: Receive the formal application form from AFS Philippines via email.
  • Step 4: Submit the completed application form.
  • Step 5: Upon confirmation, settle the program payment.
  • Step 6: AFS Philippines provides visa support letters for processing.
  • Step 7: Finalize travel arrangements.

Registration is open for youth ages 18-35 with a proven track record of leadership experience, school, or community involvement and are interested in global affairs, sustainable development, and youth issues. Applicants must be able to secure any required visa, and travel to Switzerland in August 2026.
