9/21/2009 - Applications now accepted for the 2010 Global Undergraduate Exchange Program

The Philippine American Educational Foundation (PAEF) is now accepting applicants to the 2010-2011 Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD).

Funded by the US Department of State, the Global UGRAD program provides one-semester or one academic year scholarships to outstanding college students from non-elite, underrepresented sectors in society.

Scholars will be enrolled full-time in undergraduate course work chosen from the US host institution’s existing curriculum to allow for ample opportunity for on-going interaction with US faculty and student peers, and for exposure to US academic and classroom culture.

Successful candidates will begin their scholarships in Fall 2010 or Spring 2011.

General Eligibility Requirements

1.Philippine citizenship
2.English proficiency
3.Currently enrolled in a 4-year bachelor’s degree program. First year, second year or third year college students can apply.
4.Outstanding undergraduate record
5.Strong motivation and leadership skills
6.Successful applicants must be prepared to return to the Philippines upon completion of their non-degree study program.

Individuals holding dual citizenship, are permanent residents, and/or are presently studying in the US are not eligible.
