4/4/2008 - Guerra named AFS International Trustee, Global Brand Adviser

Because of his noteworthy global achievements and outstanding efforts in generating awareness and enthusiasm in AFS Philippines, Francisco F Guerra III (1970-1971 Massachusetts), AFS Philippines Communications committee chair, was named a member of the AFS International Board of Trustees for 2007.

Guerra, or “Frank” as he is called in the AFS Philippines family, was selected following an intensive screening process conducted by AFS Intercultural Programs, Incorporated, based in New York.

In addition to his appointment to the Board of Trustees, Frank is also a member of a six-person team in charge of creating the vision of AFS for 2020, and is also an adviser for the AFS Global Branding program.

“Frank believes passionately in the value of the AFS mission, and that a stronger brand identity is both needed and achievable,” said the official nomination statement of AFS Philippines. “His work ethic and enthusiasm have been extremely contagious.”

Frank Guerra has consistently dedicated himself to building the lengthened organizational well-being of AFS Philippines. Aside from leading the communications committee, Frank is also a key benefactor of the “25 for 25” trust fund program along with his wife and current president of AFS Philippines, Bonnie Guerra, and has conducted the Board and Volunteer Priority Setting workshop for the Philippine board in May 2007.

“I keep saying to my friends, ‘I am married to AFS’” Frank said.
