8/22/2007 - AFS Philippines to host 2008 AAI Conference
To facilitate the progress measurement of AFS among countries, AFS Intercultural Programs Philippines will be the host of the AFS Asia-Pacific Initiatives (AAI) Conference in 2008.
The conference will bring top leaders and partners from 10 participating countries together to review the progress of AFS in their respective countries, share ideas, strategies, and resources on how to move AFS forward.
Participating countries of AAI include Australia, China (AFS in China in collaboration with the China Education Association for International Exchanges or CEAIE), Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Thailand, the United States of America, and the Philippines.
Established in 1993 in Bali, Indonesia, the AAI envisions to serve as the engine of growth for the Asia-Pacific region and the whole network of participants and carries the motto “Asian-Pacific Hearts Beating Together”
BIn Sato of Japan has served as the president of AAI since its establishment.
