3/3/2009 - Venzon-Eduave named Volunteer Development Manager

Ms Elizabeth Venzon-Eduave has been named the Volunteer Development Manager of AFS Intercultural Programs Philippines (AFS IPP), said Raymund Zamora, AFS-IPP national director.

A returnee and longtime AFS volunteer, Ms Eduave brings her years of experience in volunteer work both in AFS and in other non-profit organizations. She has expertise in Philippine ethnic minorities and has developed a wide network of contacts and allies in various sectors – government, education, and special interest sectors.

Ms Eduave has fulfilled various roles in AFS Philippines, the most recent of which is the continuous growth of the Youth Exchange and Study (YES) program.

As volunteer development manager, Ms Eduave is responsible for developing chapters in strategic locations that would be the source of quality host schools, host families, and sending participants. Ms Eduave will also spearhead the formation of the volunteer chapter infrastructure in 2009.
